Joining the Washington University in St. Louis team in June 2010, Chef McElroy spent more than two years as an Executive Chef for Bon Appetit Management Company on the Washington University in St. Louis. His time was spent as Executive Chef of the campus' Danforth University Center and most recently South 40 Campus Executive Chef before being selected as the Campus Executive Chef in July 2013. He has worked hard to establish and deliver an exceptional dining program for Washington University and has a deep understanding of sustainability and healthy options with fresh, superb flavors. Chef McElroy has an impressive track record within the restaurant and hospitality industries including Executive Chef positions at St. Louis’ Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and more than 10 years with the Hyatt Corporation, including the Hyatt Regency Union Station and Hyatt Printer’s Row in Chicago.
